State of the Cities

The 19th Annual State of the Cities

The 18th Annual State of the Cities took place on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 8 am at Farina’s Banquet Center in Berkley.

Jim Monahan of the Twisted Shamrock in Berkley was honored with Business Person of the Year Award for being instrumental in bringing the County Oakland Irish Fest to downtown Berkley and his volunteer activities with the Berkley Area Chamber.



The Neighbor’s Shoppe was honored with Business of the Year for turning their business into a neighborhood hub that brings people together while also supporting many organizations in Berkley through donations of items and their time.  Pictured are the Donna and Troy Dirkse, owners of The Neighbor’s Shoppe, and Darlene Rothman, Executive Director of the Berkley Area Chamber of Commerce.



In addition, Downtown Development Authority, the Berkley Schools, the Berkley Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Mayors of Berkley and Huntington Woods gave their annual reports.
