12th Annual Berkley Pub Crawl Returns August 23, 2018

Guest post by Michigan Chews & Brews

The Berkley Pub Crawl kicked off with the clink of glasses in 2006 and hasn’t looked back. The event has grown substantially over the years, and the expansion of dining and drinking attractions has made Berkley one of metro Detroit’s best kept secrets.

The 12th Annual Berkley Pub Crawl returns on Thursday, August 23, 2018. Expected to be the biggest yet, the Crawl features ten stellar spots for sipping beer, wine, and cocktails into the night. As you’d expect, the event is open to those 21 years and older only.

The price of admission includes all of the essentials for you to have a memorable night: drink specials and munchies at each participating location, a shuttle bus to get you safely from point A to point B, a t-shirt (while supplies last), and raffle prizes at the end of the night.

24 Seconds

24 Seconds is the quintessential sports bar in Berkley. Enjoy the game on one of their numerous screens on the main floor or grab a drink at Berkley’s only rooftop bar.

American Legion

The final stop on the Pub Crawl, Berkley’s American Legion is the hub for cheap drinks and the last call for filling up after a night of fun. The Legion hosts the prize raffle, so make sure to end your night here.

Famous for their out-of-the-box pizzas (pun intended), you’d be hard pressed to find more vegetarian and vegan pizza options than Amici’s. For the true Amici’s experience, start the Crawl with one of their signature martinis. Our favorite is the Salted Caramel Pretzeltini.

Bagger Dave’s

All aboard the Michigan craft beer train! A staple for burgers and craft beer on Coolidge Hwy, Bagger Dave’s is a solid spot on the 2018 Pub Crawl.

Berkley Common

Opening mere moments before the 2017 Pub Crawl, Berkley Common returns in 2018. Check out one of Berkley’s newest restaurants/bars with a menu featuring shareable plates, greens, tacos, sandwiches, and Japanese buns.

If you’re in the mood for a cocktail, Crispelli’s has you covered. The lone Woodward stop on the Crawl, this Berkley favorite is praised for its crispy pizzas baked in its stone-fired oven.

Hat Trick Pub

Make sure you spare some time to roll into the Hat Trick Pub inside Hartfield Lanes. Bowling shoes aren’t required to snag a cold beer and tasty bar snack at this classic Crawl stop.

O’Mara’s is home to Irish cuisine and so much more. This Berkley institution is a popular spot because of its live music, outdoor patio, and central location.

Patrick J’s

The expansive Patrick J’s is great for group gatherings large and small, making it a natural fit for the Pub Crawl. Taps as far as the eye can see will ensure you’ll find a brew you love.

Since 2013, Republica has served up fan favorites like pasta, salads, and the behemoth Revolution Burger. A diverse cocktail program and craft beer round out Republica’s offering. An outdoor patio makes this quaint gastropub a popular destination on the Crawl.
