Meet your 2026 Board of Directors!
Name: Shannon Amori
At-Large Member, Berkley Area Chamber of Commerce
What do you love most about Berkley?
Berkley feels like a small cozy town but has a great downtown that is easy to walk to. I love all the new businesses popping up!
What do you love most about owning or working at a business in or around Berkley?
The community feels very supportive, and it doesn't hurt that parking is free, but it's easily walkable, making it great for residents but appealing to those from surrounding communities.
When you're not working and spending time with your family and friends, what activities bring you joy?
Photography, art, music, dancing, yoga, books, wine, funny movies and trying new restaurants!
What is your hype song?
The entire Alive 2007 set by Daft Punk
What's your go-to dish when you eat out in Berkley/Oak Park?
Pretty potatoes from The Rind; Meatloaf from Republica; Oysters or mussels from the Beverly; Guacamole from Casa Amada...
If you had $1,000 to donate to a charity, which one would you give it to and why are they awesome?
Lighthouse, Yad Ezra or the Michigan Dyslexia Institute.
What do you love most about the Chamber?
The Berkley Area Chamber is a place where relationships feel real. You get to know everyone well and have less of a chance of "getting lost in the crowd." We belong to a couple other Chambers and have received more customers here than at the others! Also, it seems that the Berkley Area Chamber offers more marketing and advertising services at a more reasonable cost.
"I enjoy having influence over what happens in the communities that I live, work and raise my children in. But mostly, I love working with these exceptional individuals who share an interest in helping our small businesses and downtown thrive. It is becoming a more exciting place every day!"
